Overall conference objectives:

1. Expose a diverse group of public health professionals & students to emerging epidemiological topics of interest.
2. Provide education regarding up-to-date epidemiological and public health-related research within the state of Michigan.

Continuing Medical Education (CME credits):  
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and policies of the Michigan State Medical Society Committee on CME Accreditation through the joint sponsorship of the Public Health Consortium and the Michigan Department of Community Health. The Public Health Consortium is accredited by the Michigan State Medical Society Committee on CME Accreditation to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The Public Health Consortium designates this activity for a maximum of 4.5 AMA PRA Category I credits. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Credit is only available for the morning session and sessions 1, 2, 4, and 5, not for session 3 or the poster sessions.

Contact Hours (CEU credits):
This activity is approved for 4.5 contact hours by the Michigan Nurses Association, an accredited approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center Commission on Accreditation. Credit is only available for the morning session and sessions 1, 2, 4, and 5, not for session 3 or the poster sessions.
